How to Remove Traffic Restrictions

Traffic restrictions can be categorized into several types, each with specific solutions:

Type 1: Poor Content Quality

Content quality is low, prioritizing quantity over quality. This approach often results in treating RedNote like a casual social feed, posting without careful consideration. Incorrect account growth strategy, lacking systematic positioning.

Solutions:

  • Focus on creating valuable, high-quality content for users
  • Master proper account growth strategies
  • Carefully design attractive covers and titles that encourage user engagement

Type 2: Posts Not Appearing in Search

Account and published posts cannot be found when searching by title.

Solutions:

  • This may be due to policy violations or official traffic restrictions. Review posts for prohibited terms
  • Make necessary adjustments and monitor if traffic returns to normal

Type 3: Sudden Traffic Drop

Account previously had good traffic performance, but all posts after a certain point show a dramatic decline in traffic.

Solutions:

  • Check for recent frequent community guideline violations
  • Review if you've received frequent moderator warnings
  • Avoid plagiarism or substantially similar content
  • Avoid post reports (appeal if maliciously reported)
  • Modify or remove non-compliant content. If traffic recovers, it may indicate the post's lifecycle has ended. Focus on creating quality content

Type 4: Single Post Low Traffic

A single post shows poor performance while other posts are normal. This may be due to prohibited terms or non-compliant content, resulting in views far below average.

Solutions:

  • When traffic restriction is detected, check each factor listed above
  • After identifying issues, make necessary modifications or deletions. If platform flags violations but specific issues are unclear, delete the post rather than attempting modifications to avoid more severe penalties
  • If no violation notice is received and promotion is possible, try appealing. Appeal process: Go to "Me" -- "Menu" -- "Help & Support" -- "Post Appeal"
  • After restriction, don't rush to action. First identify violation risk factors, then publish trending content in your field. Traffic should recover after platform re-evaluation
